What The Pro's Are Saying
"The Players Tour provides a great opportunity to play competitive golf against proven players from both the professional and amateur ranks at first class courses.
With knowledgeable and professional behind the scenes organisation the Tour is already providing strong fields and an excellent spread of the prize purse.
Good luck for the future with what should, on the basis of the first few events, become a strong development tour."
Dave Smith, MEN Open Winner 2007
"The Players Tour is a superbly organised developmental tour I would recommend to golfers who are looking for fierce competition on quality courses.
Both Jon and Richard know what players are looking for in tournaments and go out of their way to accommodate. From yardage planners to physios and most things in between every thing is done in a friendly and first class manner."
Paul Eales former winner on the European Tour
"The Players Tour is a fabulous concept, the standard of golf is high and the ‘behind the scenes’ even higher.
It’s crucial for the development of the tour to be run smoothly, efficiently and at good venues. With those ideals already at the forefront Jon & Richard will create a great opportunity for us all! Good luck"
Andrew Murray former European Open Champion

TAYLOR AND ARMITAGE SHARE TOP SPOT AT ST ANNES OLD LINKS
2008 Order of Merit winner Barry Taylor and Winter Order of Merit winner Marcus Armitage both returned one under 71's on the newly extended, superbly conditioned St Annes Old Links in windy conditions.
It was a timely return to form for both players with Barry notching his third Tour victory and Marcus his first full win after a succesful winter. Barry's score was a great example of perseverance as he stood on the 8th tee 3 over, a birdie there followed by a three birdie back nine saw him finally reach red figures on the 18th.
Marcus was the steadier with 9's of 36 and 35 closing out with six straight pars. The win was his biggest cheque yet having turned pro late in 2008.
Alone in third was veteran Mark Mouland on level par 72 which also saw him secure the 'seniors' section from old rival Paul Eales 74. Paul's round was a fine effort having taken a triple bogey 8 at the 5th.
Sharing fourth were James Ashmore and Robert Booth on 73 with six players in a tie for sixth on 74.
The amateur section saw 2008 Order of Merit winner Olly Smith pipped on a back nine card play-off by Peter Nicholson both returning 76. With possibly the best round of the day returned by 5 handicap Mark Davin whose 77 just missed out but secured third.
The day was a great success highlighted by the magnificent course which received unanimous praise from the entire field. The only complaint heard was from one competitor who found the greens to be too good for his putting stroke!
With the Tour now seeing strong entries in all sections the coming events promise to be equally competitive as we still seek our first outright winner of the year after four play-offs in the two dayers and two-way ties here and at West Lancs.
