What The Pro's Are Saying
"The Players Tour is a superbly organised developmental tour I would recommend to golfers who are looking for fierce competition on quality courses.
Both Jon and Richard know what players are looking for in tournaments and go out of their way to accommodate. From yardage planners to physios and most things in between every thing is done in a friendly and first class manner."
Paul Eales former winner on the European Tour
"The Players Tour is a fabulous concept, the standard of golf is high and the ‘behind the scenes’ even higher.
It’s crucial for the development of the tour to be run smoothly, efficiently and at good venues. With those ideals already at the forefront Jon & Richard will create a great opportunity for us all! Good luck"
Andrew Murray former European Open Champion
"The Players Tour provides a great opportunity to play competitive golf against proven players from both the professional and amateur ranks at first class courses.
With knowledgeable and professional behind the scenes organisation the Tour is already providing strong fields and an excellent spread of the prize purse.
Good luck for the future with what should, on the basis of the first few events, become a strong development tour."
Dave Smith, MEN Open Winner 2007

Event Report
PROOS AND SMITH SHARE THE SPOILS
Dunscar's Harry Proos and Challenge Tour bound Mark Smith tied for the top spot in our second event at a testing Hesketh course. Both players returned 2 under par 70's on a tricky day edging out seven players on 71.
Harry who turned professional over the winter secured his first victory while for Mark our early season events are helping him prepare for the European Challnge Tour following a succesful Europro campaign last year..
The 71's included local form man Steve Parry and another north western regular Martyn Hamer with the Yorkshire contingency strongly represented by Mike Hempstock, Andy Bradley and Matt Marsh. The north easts Gary Donnison, now based in Mobberley, and ISM's Dale Marmion completing the tied thirds.
The closeness of the field is reflected in a further 22 players returning 74 or better. This bears testament to the challenge of the course in that despite the number of reasonable scores returned no-one could better 70.
The senior section was headed by Andrew Murray, European Open Champion in 1989, on 72 which was good enoug to also return him joint 10th in the regular field.
Also on 72 we had a card play off to determine the amateur winner with Luke Burrows pipping James Maw from Hallowes with a further three players on 74.
The event was once again a great succes with 93 players taking part. We now move onto Llangollen for the first of our 36 hole events.
