What The Pro's Are Saying
"The Players Tour is a superbly organised developmental tour I would recommend to golfers who are looking for fierce competition on quality courses.
Both Jon and Richard know what players are looking for in tournaments and go out of their way to accommodate. From yardage planners to physios and most things in between every thing is done in a friendly and first class manner."
Paul Eales former winner on the European Tour
"The Players Tour provides a great opportunity to play competitive golf against proven players from both the professional and amateur ranks at first class courses.
With knowledgeable and professional behind the scenes organisation the Tour is already providing strong fields and an excellent spread of the prize purse.
Good luck for the future with what should, on the basis of the first few events, become a strong development tour."
Dave Smith, MEN Open Winner 2007
"The Players Tour is a fabulous concept, the standard of golf is high and the ‘behind the scenes’ even higher.
It’s crucial for the development of the tour to be run smoothly, efficiently and at good venues. With those ideals already at the forefront Jon & Richard will create a great opportunity for us all! Good luck"
Andrew Murray former European Open Champion

Event Report
STUART ANDREW SHOOTS 65 TO CHARGE THROUGH THE FIEL
D
Clitheroe's Stuart Andrew showed that despite his 'retirement' to a 'proper' job he hasn't lost his touch. His 65 despite a bogey 4 on the 18th secured a 4 shot win over local favourite Lee Rooke. Staring 3 behind Stuart made an immediate move eagling the first. Three more birdies on the front nine put him in control. Followed by a further birdie at the 10th and a second eagle at the 15th allowing the luxury of 'laying up' at the 168 yard 18th
Doncaster's Andrew Bradley retuned a 69 to tie Lee for second to take over the lead for the Galvin Green award for the early order of merit pace setter as barry Taylor fell back from 3 under overnight with a 74 to finish joint 10th.
Warrington's Graham Cox saw a welcome return to some form with his 67 earing him a tie for fourth with Richard Gurney of King's Norton. While another regular name on northern region leaderboards Tim Maxwell also posted a 67 to move up to a four way tie for 6th.
Brian Sharrock again took the senior honours with a very respectable 147 oly just behind the leading amateur local man Ashley Griffiths from Wrexham who carded 71+74 for 145.
Next up is the links challenge posed by the recently lengthened St Annes Old Links where another full field is expected.
