PLAYER ANNOUNCEMENT -REDUCED FEES FROM 1 JULY, Posted Friday 27th June 2008 - 13:47

We are pleased to confirm that with effect from 1 July the membership fees for the remainder of the year will be reduced to £100 for full members and £50 for seniors. The temporary membership fees for one off events will be set at £25 and £15.

We are already working on next year's schedule and are delighted to confirm that Royal St David's, known to many as Harlech, have confirmed a 36 hole event for next April. We hopthat this wil be the first of many exiting new venues to our 2009 schedule.

We are delighted to confirm that Callaway have offerred to sponsor the Amateur prizes at Fairhaven on Friday 1 August. As a former final qualifying venue for the Open and regular host of major regional amateur and professional events this promises to be a strong field from both ranks.

Major golf manufacturers Srixon and Hi-Tec have added their support to the Players Tour. In addition to sponsoring the event at Hesketh by providing every competitor free balls from their latest rnage the Z-URC and Z-URS, Srixon have confirmed that any player who wins an event with a Srixon ball will receive 6 dozen balls.

Hi-Tec have also confirmed that every event winner will receive a pair of shoes from their CDT Super Power range.

PLAYER ANNOUNCEMENT -IMPORTANT UPDATE, Posted Monday 10th March 2008 - 13:48

In order to facilitate the payment of prize purses which we hope to be able to do as soon as the result is confirmed by way of automatic bank transfer, players are requested to bring their payment details with them to the first event. It is likely that this event will see winnings paid by cheque but thereafter as far as possible winnings will be paid direct. To allow us to make immediate payment possible players must send their entry fee in at the same time as confirming their entry. PLEASE NOTE that after the event at Llangollen their will be a £5 charge levied for payments made on the day. This is to cover admin costs and to protect the purse from the effect of late withdrawals, please read the information section regarding such withdrawals.

Players are also requested to check the tour policy with regard to practise rounds and dress code. In order to protect the Tour's image all players will be expected to comply with these policies.

Manchester TV channel Channel M are to cover seven events from the Tour in the Manchester region. The first of these will be at Denton on 16 May. This is great news for the Tour in our first season. Further announcements will be made about programme times and details in due course.
